Greek train derails, killing three, injuring many
ATHENS, Apr 16 (Reuters) An Intercity passenger train collided with a truck in northern Greece late today, killing at least three passengers and injuring many others, the fire brigade said.
The train was travelling from the northeastern city of Alexandroupolis to the port of Thessaloniki when it hit a truck trying to cross the tracks near the town of Drama.
''There are at least three people dead and many are injured,'' a senior fire brigade official said.
He said rescue workers were trying to free other passengers trapped in two carriages.
''We have not yet determined how many more casualties there are,'' he said.
