Former minister's son cremated

Guntur, Apr 17 (UNI) The mortal remains of Dr K Satyanarayan (30), Son of Dr K Sivaprasada Rao, Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former Home minister, who died in a road accident yesterday, was consigned to flames at his native town of Narsaraopet in this district this evening.

TDP supremo and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, former Rajyasabha member Y Shivaji and Dr C Ramakotiah, former vice chanceller of Nagarjuna University were among those who attended the funeral. Intellctuals especially doctors made a beeline to the residence of Dr Sivaprasda Rao and consoled him.

Dr Satyanarayana died when the car he was driving hit a tree.

Young Satyanarayana was married only one year ago.
