Counterfeit currency racket busted, two arrested

New Delhi, Apr 17 (UNI) Police today claimed to have busted a counterfeit currency racket and exposed the nefarious designs of Pakistan's ISI to derail the Indian economy with the arrest of two people.

Amir Ahmed (50) and Tehsim Kunjare (28) were arrested for floating counterfeit currency in India.

Police recovered fake currency in the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 worth Rs 20,000.

During interrogation, Tehsim revealed that he received the fake currency through his contact in Pakistan .

He had been to Pakistan several times to meet his contact who is an ISI agent.

Amir has confessed to trading about Rs 5,000,000 worth fake currency in India.
