Chappell down with upset stomach, skips practice session
Abu Dhabi, Apr 17 (UNI) An upset stomach kept India coach Greg Chappell away from the team's practice session at the Zayed Cricket Stadium here today.
Team manager Rajeev Shukla said the coach, who was there with the struggling duo of Virender Sehwag and Mohammad Kaif in the nets yesterday, was down with an upset stomach but he refused to attribute Chappell's ill-heath to fatigue and said the team was fresh and raring to go in tomorrow's match.
''There is no fatigue factor and they had a good rest yesterday.
They are fresh now,'' he told reporters.
The team manager was also quite pleased with the facilities at the ground.
''We are very happy with the condition of the stadium. The outfield is very lush and green,'' he said.
Meanwhile, the organisers received Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, who was invited by the his UAE counterpart Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to watch the match.
The organisers are also expecting several other high-profile guests -- including bollywood stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor to watch the match to be played at the Sheikh Zayed stadium here tomorrow.
BCCI President Sharad Pawar is also expected to watch the match, which will raise funds for the last year's earthquake victims.
