30 pc for employees in its budget

Aizawl, Apr 17: The Mizoram government spends more than 30 per cent of its budget on its employees salary.

Official records said the state government spends 30.10 per cent of the budget on a total work force of 55,000 employees.

The official statistics stated that the state government had constituted Pay Commission under retired IAS officer Lal Fakzuala recently to look into pay anomalies initially for six months.

The Centre has plans to constitute a pay commission, the state government thought it better not to dissolve the state pay commission and extended its term again upto April 2006.
