Youth kills 'girlfriend', shoots self

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) A 25-year-old allegedly shot dead his 'girlfriend' in Rohini area of North-West Delhi this afternoon and then killed himself.

A senior police official said Sandeep went to the girl's home in Rohini Sector-11 at about 1330 hrs and shot the girl from close range.

''He later shot himself in the temple,'' the officer said Both died on the spot before they could be rushed to the hospital.

The weapon used in the incident had been recovered and the case was being investigated, the officer added.

Sandeep ran a cable business.

Meanwhile, sources said both had an affair, which was opposed by their family. They had got married a couple of days back but lived separately due to parents' opposition.
