Permanent solution needed to end farmers' woes: Vikhe-Patil
Kolhapur, Apr 16 (UNI) Former Union Minister of State for Finance Balasaheb Vikhe-Patil today opined that providing agricultural loans was not a permanent solution for improving the condition of the farmers.
He was speaking at a seminar on ''Agricultural loans to farmers and rural development'', organised jointly by Shramik Pratisthan, Gokul Dudh Sangh, and bank employees organisations at the Rajarshi Shahu Smarak Bhavan here today.
There is a need to find a permanant solution to improve the condition of the farmers, Mr Vikhe-Patil said.
He said an open export policy will help farmers secure a place for themselves in the world market.
