Pension for dwarfs in Haryana
Chandigarh, Apr 16 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to give a monthly pension of Rs 300 to the dwarfs in the state on the pattern of the old age pension scheme.
This announcement was made by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda while addressing a public meeting in Brara town of Ambala district today. The meeting was organised by the Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana.
Haryana would thus become the first state in the country to give pensions to dwarfs, who are often the subject of ridicule in public.
The Chief Minister said the state government was committed for upliftment of every section of the society and dwarfs were no exception.
