Omaxe to build 'Connaught Place' in Greater Noida

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) Emulating the timeless Connaught Place, often referred to as the heart of the city, real estate major Omaxe has outlined plans to set up a CP-like marketplace in Greater Noida which will be named--- the Omaxe Connaught Place.

The Omaxe Connaught Place (OCP) for which the builder has already acquired land, received a shot in its arm by tying up with Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) which plans to kickstart its foray into the retail sector in the near future. An agrement has been reached for leasing out 1.2 lakh square feet of area to RIL in the OCP.

To be billed as one of the largest malls in the National Capital Region (NCR), the OCP will encompass 1,900,000 sq ft of area in the format of a large hypermarket, an eight screen multiplex, a five-star hotel and a modern office complex.

Reliance Industries is also due to ink an agreement for the hypermarket format with Omaxe in other Indian cities.

''OCP will try to recreate the classic ambience of Connaught Place at Greater Noida, replete with the latest facilities and primarily catering to consumers of the NCR region,'' Omaxe Group CMD Rohtas Goel said.
