ICAI to conduct training programmes

New Delhi, Apr 16: With a view to sharpening the skills of its members and other aspirants to the Board Room, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has planned a series of training programmes for Independent Directors during the year across the country.

The training programmes mainly focuses on tuning the efficiency of the participants and sharpen their competitive edge to serve as Independent Directors, a release issued here said.

It also aims to promote the brand image of chartered accountants and impress upon the corporate world that they can be better Independent Directors in the light of their wide experience in finance, management, accountacy, law, public policy and corporate strategy.

These programmes will be conducted by the Committee on Corporate Governance of ICAI.

The first programme of ICAI, for the current financial year, will be held from April 22-24 at Hyderabad.
