Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today reiterated his government's resolve to provide water for irrigation to farmers.
Addressing a public meeting at Dachepalli village here in connection with 'Prajapatham' programme, Dr Reddy said the government was buying Rs 40 crore of power every day to ensure standing crops did not wither for the want of electricity.
In three years, the entire district will be covered under the programme which aimed to provide drinking and irrigation water, housing,easy credit and ration cards.
All eligible persons in the state will be provided pucca houses, he declared.
