Five injured in Istanbul kiosk explosion-report
ISTANBUL, Apr 16 (Reuters) An explosion in a street kiosk on the outskirts of Istanbul injured five people today, NTV television said.
The broadcaster said a faulty gas compressor was suspected, although no further details were immediately available.
Militant groups, including Kurdish separatists, Islamists and ultra-leftists, have carried out attacks on civilians, security and military targets in Turkey in the past.
Kurdish rebels have intensified a bombing campaign in recent weeks, targeting Istanbul.
