EC withdraws observer for Bengal Assy election

Durgapur, Apr 16 (UNI) The Election Commission today withdrew Kaksa constituency observer Ranjan Kumar.

Bardhaman District Magistrate Subroto Gupta said Mr Kumar had been withdrawn but refused to assign any reason for his withdrawal.

He said none had been deputed in his place so far.

However, the State Employees Coordination Committee alleged that Mr Kumar had been removed because of his alleged misbehaviour with the local people.
