District Forum asks complainant to pay penalty

Akola, Apr 16 (UNI) The District Consumers Greiveance Redressal Forum has quashed the complaint by a governent employee regarding a laon he had taken to join computer training institute, stating it as totally baseless and imposed a fine on him.

Hearing a complaint filed by Ashok Himmatrao Lonkar, a government employee, the District Forum Judge Rajeev Patil directed the complainant to pay Rs 1000 each to Nishant Phat Sanstha and Adarsha Electronics respectively on Thursday.

The complainant had stated that he took a laon of Rs 5,000 from Nishanat Co-operative Credit Sanstha by signing blank papers, to join a computer training programme at Adarsha Electronics.

Not ready to belive the complainant's statement that he had signed blank papers and sought a loan, the Forum said that his plea was baseless and asked the complainant to pay Rs 1,000 each to the duo.
