Bomb on railway track; train movement suspended

Rourkela, Orissa, Apr 16 (UNI) The Railway authorities today suspended traffic of goods in the Kabalang section of the Chakradharpur division following detection of a bomb on the railway track.

Police said the railway gangmen during their routine check noticed the bomb on the track between Renjada and Topadiha stations, about 100 km from here, and reported it to high officials.

The Railway police immediately dispatched a bomb squad but it failed to reach the spot.

The authorities then decided to suspend the movement of goods train in the section. Few goods trains were also detained at the Karamdihi and Renjada stations.

The bomb squad would approach the site tomorrow morning to carry out the operation. Till then the movement of the goods trains would remain suspended, Railway sources here said.
