Ultras kidnap six, torch two vehicles in Jharkhand
Gumla, Apr 13 (UNI) Proscribed CPI-Maoist ultras kidnapped six people, including four government employees, and torched two vehicles in the Palkot area of this district last night.
Superintendent of Police M L Mina told UNI today that the naxalites had demanded money from a contractor of an underconstruction bridge on Gumla-Simdega national highway 23.
As the contractor did not pay the money, they attacked the site and abducted the six. They also torched a jeep and a truck, he added.
Mr Mina said police were conducting massive raids to free the abducted.
