RSS leader takes dig at Advani
Kochi, Apr 13 (UNI) Taking a dig at BJP leader L K Advani, RSS National Executive Member Ram Madhav said the nature of politics was such ''even good people can slip, whether they are in India or in Pakistan.'' Addressing a function here last evening, Mr Madhav said senior Sangh leaders such as Mr M S Golwalkar had realised the need to have good people in politics.
''It was for this reason that the RSS ''sent some good people into politics,'' he said, adding that "politics is such a field, like the bathroom, even the best of persons can slip, whether they are in India or in Pakistan.'' It is for this reason 'guruji' (Mr Golwalkar) established so many institutions and organisations such as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, which can serve mankind and country and ''protect the dharma and dharmi of this country,'' he stressed.
Mr Advani had to ultimately step down as the BJP chief after his controversial statement terming the Pakistan founder Mohd Ali Jinnah as "secular" made on a trip to Pakistan last year, which caused a major storm among the RSS and its affiliated organisations.
