Relieved Salman bids adieu to new friend

Jodhpur, Apr 13 (UNI) Actor Salman Khan, who was today granted bail in the chinkara poaching case, bade farewell to his cellmate in the Jodhpur central jail for the last three days.

A relieved-loking Salman said goodbye to Mahesh Sharna, as he left the jail at about 1355 hours. Mahesh Sharma, who is spending a life sentence for murder, was specially chosen to spend the three days with Salman for his impeccable conduct in jail.

The actor's admirers and fans were jostling outside the jail and chanting slogans in his support, which he acknowledged on his route to the hotel. Salman proceeded to the Hotel Taj Hari where he had a sumptuous meal.

According to hotel sources, Salman had a good sleep and was expected to leave for Mumbai this evening either by a regular flight or by his friend's chartered airplane.

Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif, sister Alvira, brother Sohail Khan, producer friend Sajid Nadiadwala and actor and MP Govinda were present in the court today.

Former Rajasthan Congress minister Bina Kak, who is supposed to be very close to Salman, was also present in the court.

Katrina was all smiles as the release order came but refused to speak to the press.

However, brother Sohail said: ''The release order is a result of Alvira's ziyarat at Ajmer Sharif. We hope Salman will come back for ziyarat at Ajmer soon.'' UNI RRT VD GC1725
