Rajkumar's eyes donated to 'eye bank'

Bangalore: Dr Rajkumar has pledged his eyes to an eye bank set up in his name at Narayana Nethralaya Super Speciality Eye Hospital, according to the hospital's Medical Director Dr Bhujang Shetty.

Dr Shetty said, "I enucleated Dr Rajkumar's eyes at 3.15 pm (today), at his residence. The eyes will be transplanted on April 13 to two selected blind people."

So far nearly 450 people have regained vision through transplants conducted at the hospital. More than 4000 people have pledged their eyes to the Dr. Rajkumar Eye bank.
