Prisoner escapes from Gurgaon hospital

Gurgaon, Apr 13 (UNI) A prisoner, undergoing treatment at a government hospital here escaped early today.

Prem Singh Saini, hailing from Dhoonda Hera village, escaped at about 0230 hrs, according to sources.

He had been admitted to the Civil Hospital Gurgaon last evening after he complained of uneasiness, police said today.

Investigations are on to ascertain the causes which led to his escape and the lapses therein, it added.

Charged under Section 376 of the IPC, Saini had been awarded ten years imprisonment.
