Prime Minister to campaign for UDF

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 13 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will campaign for two days in Kerala from April 19 for the Congress-led United Democratic Front candidates ahead of Assembly elections later this month.

Mr Singh would be addressing meetings at Perumbavoor, Thodupuzha and Thiruvalla on April 19 and at Pattambi, Koyilandy and Iritty on April 20, Kerela Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala said in a statement here today.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi will also be visiting the state twice this month ahead of the Prime Minister's visit. In the first leg, she would address a few meetings on April 18 in constituencies going to polls in the first phase.

In the second phase of her campaigning during April 24-25, she will go to those constituencies where polls are scheduled for April 29 and May 3.

The first phase of polls will be on April 22, UNI PN VV HS BST2043
