Poll notification for second phase issued in pondy

Pondicherry, Apr 13 (UNI) The poll process for the second phase of elections in Pondicherry has been set in motion with the issue of notification today.

Twenty-one constituencies in Pondicherry and six in Karaikal region go to polls in the second phase falling on May eight.

The filing of nomination papers commences today. The last date for filing nominations is April 20.

The scrutiny of papers will be done on April 21 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 24.

Mahe, Palloor and Yanam constituencies go to polls on May three in the first phase.
