Peace shall engulf sub-continent soon: Azad
Jammu, April 13 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said the desire of people for everlasting peace will only be possible when all like-minded people come forward to strengthen this process.
He was addressing a seminar on "Peace Process and Vision of Khushali" organized by Foundation for Peace and Social Justice, Friends Club-India and Directorate of Information and Public Relations at the conclusion of eight day historic march for peace and Khushali from Poonch to Jammu here today.
Appreciating such a move to create mass awareness about power of peace, the chief minister said the gun has no scope as the people are yearning for peace, in the state.
He recalled the concept of non-violence that was preached by Mahatma Gandhi, who had himself led the Dandi march from Sabarmati to Dandi on 6th April.
''The revolutionary spirit of Mahatma Gandhi, which exhibited through the philosophy of non-violence and truth, led our country towards triumph and we are enjoying the fruits of freedom at present,'' he added.
