Patni Computers provide IT services in fleet management to GEOCOMtms

Mumbai, Apr 13 (UNI) Indian IT major Patni Computer Systems Ltd., has entered into an agreement with GEOCOMtms, a global provider of fleet management solutions, to provide back-end integration services and support for latter's customer engagements.

In addition, Patni computers will offer GEOCOMtms, a flagship solution for 'A.MAZE Fleet Management platform' as part of its logistics and transportation solution portfolio.

''The combination of GEOCOM's fleet management platform with Patni's IT expertise and global delivery model gives logistics and transportation customers an affordable, one-stop solution,'' said Patni's Vice President sales, Newton Parkes, adding, ''Combined with Patni's global delivery model, the company will provide a cost-effective alternative for A.MAZE integration projects.'' GEOCOMtms, A.MAZE platform provides integrated software for route planning, trucking dispatch, GPS fleet tracking, mobile field service and fleet maintenance. The A.MAZE platform gives private fleet operators greater visibility and control over transportation resources.

Many GEOCOMtms customers lack the in-house IT expertise needed to tie A.MAZE into existing enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and supply chain management (SCM) systems, the Patni computers will act as an extension of the company's services arm, to provide these services.
