MCX Comdex dip by 18.41 points

Mumbai, Apr 13 (UNI) The Multy Commodity Exchange (MCX) Commodity Index (COMDEX) was down by 18.41 points (-0.84 per cent) today.

MCX has recorded a turnover of Rsm 2,381.23 crore at 17.00 hrs today.

The MCX Metal Index was down by 17.04 points (-0.69 per cent), and MCX Energy Index was down 34.31 points (-1.34 per cet) and 12.25 points (0.47 percent). MCX Agri Index was also a loser and dropped by 3.89 points (-0.26 per cent), the release said.

The combined MCX Bullion registered a turnover of Rs 1,424.43 crores, including various MCX Gold Rs.683.05 crores and MCX Silver Rs 741.38 crore. The total of trades recorded for the MCX Bullion were 16,671 as against yesterdays 30,983. The open Interest for Gold was 10,247 kgs., while the outstanding position for Silver was 3,92,585 kgs.

In the Energy segment, Crude Oil contracts showed a turnover of Rs.139.88 crores with open interest of 708900 BBL as against yesterdays open interest of 747100 BBL; while MCX Copper registered a turnover of Rs.144.15 crores with 3790 trades, the release added.
