Mah Govt stays liquor policy temporarily
Mumbai, Apr 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Government has temporarily stayed the controversial liquor policy allowing the permit rooms to sell sealed liquor bottles.
State Excise Minister Ganesh Naik today said in the Legislative Council that the policy would be thoroughly discussed on all the political forums and would be reconsidered even in the Cabinet.
The Minister said this on the notice issued under rule 93 by the Opposition.
He said the decision will have far-reaching impact on the State politics and so it should be taken after a thorough discussion.
''There is no difference between me and Finance Minister Jayant Patil and the decision on this subject would be taken only after considering all pros cons,'' Mr Naik said.
