Govt official has Rs 40 lakh illegal assets

Hyderabad, April 13 (UNI) Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today conducted simultaneous raids on the office and residences of P Ravindra, Assistant Director, AP Seeds Certification Agency and seized documents relating to possession of five houses, one kg of gold, one kg and 340 grams of silver, among other assets, disproportionate to his known sources of income.

One Maruthi van, three motor cycles, 15 bank accounts, bonds woth Rs 24,000, cheques worth Rs 3.54 crore and Mutual Fund investments worth Rs 1 lakh were also found from his possession.

The sleuths also seized documents relating to Chit Fund investments and 8.10 acres of lands and seven unregistered plots at Karmanghat area in the city.

One bank locker was to be opened and deposits in 15 banks were to be verified, said SSP Yadav, Director General ACB said.
