Chargesheet against Salem, others in Jain murder case by Apr 28

Mumbai, Apr 13 (UNI) The prosecution in the Pradeep Jain murder case is likely to file the chargesheet against extradited gangster Abu Salem and others by April 28.

Investigation agency sources said they will file the chargesheet in the 1995 Pradeep Jain murder case against Salem and others by April 28.

Meanwhile, the prosecution, today moved an application before the special TADA court seeking sanction to keep the names of witness secret till the trial due to security reasons.

The special TADA Judge P V Bavkar, while granting permission to the prosecution plea, however, said the names and address of the witness should be handed over to the court registrar in a sealed cover.

The TADA court had last month issued non-bailable warrants against underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's younger brother Annes Ibrahim and his close associate Sunil Nair, who are wanted for their alleged complicity in the murder of builder Pradeep Jain in 1995.

Salem, in his interrogation in the Jain murder case sometime back had revealed the names of Anees Ibrahim and Sunil Nair.
