Charges framed against Sukhdev in Katara murder case
New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) A city court today framed charges against co-accused Sukhdev Pahalwan, who was arrested by the police on February last year, in the Nitish Katara murder case.
Additional Session Judge Ravinder Kaur framed charges against Sukhdev for abduction and murder of Nitish Katara and destruction of evidence.
Sukhdev along with Vikas Yadav and Vishal Yadav had kidnapped Nitish from a diamond palace in Ghaziabad on the intervening night of February 16-17 2002, and later killed him.
They removed all signs of identification, including his burnt body and clothes, on the Khurja road.
Sukhdev was charged under Sections 364 (abduction), 302 (murder) 201 (destruction of evidence), and 34 (intention of commiting a crime) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
