BSF constable shoots his superior dead, commits suicide
Agartala, Apr 13 (UNI) A constable of the 74th Battalion of the Border Security Force shot dead his superior, a head constable and then committed suicide during patrolling around Nirbhaypur border outpost at Sonamura in West Tripura district yesterday, a senior BSF official said today.
BSF Inspector General Suresh Dutta said here constable Rakesh Basra, who hails from Delhi, had an arugment with Head Constable Ram Phal, who hails from Haryana, during patrolling.
Basra suddenly opened fire from his rifle killing Ram Phal on the spot. Realising the consequences, Basra then shot himself dead, Mr Dutta added.
