BJP declines comment on JD(U) developments
New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) The BJP today declined to comment on the JD(U) presidential election results in which outgoing party chief George Fernandes was defeated, leading to his marginalisation in the party.
''It is their internal matter,'' BJP spokesman Arun Jaitley said, adding that the BJP had a relationship with JD(U) because of the NDA and it was intact.
Similarly, Mr Fernandes continued to be the NDA convener, he added.
In reply to a question, he also said the BJP had no objection if any of its allies, including JD(U), wanted to expand its base.
