Virbhadra assures all help to Tibetans
Shimla, Apr 12 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today assured all possible help to the Tibetans residing in the state.
The people of the state are grateful to spiritual head of the Tibetan government-in-exile, the Dalai Lama, for setting up his headquarters at Dharamshala, Mr Singh said, while talking to a high level delegation of the Central Tibetan Administration that called on him here.
Mr Singh said people of the state had cordial relations with the Tibetans and had been taking part in all their celebrations.
The state government was also considering a proposal to provide land on lease for a reasonable period of time to the Central Tibet Administration, he said.
The chief minister said his government was considerate and sympathetic towards the genuine requirements of the Tibetans. He assured them that all their pending problems will be solved on priority.
Principal Secretary Revenue and PWD Subhash Negi was also present on the occasion.
