US stocks trim gains as crude rises; Boeing up

NEW YORK, Apr 12 (Reuters) US stocks trimmed gains today as government data showing a larger-than-expected decline in US gasoline inventories sent crude oil prices higher and revived worries about higher energy prices crimping corporate profits.

The Dow Jones industrial average was up 35.92 points, or 0.32 percent, at 11,125.55. The Standard&Poor's 500 Index was up 2.04 points, or 0.16 percent, at 1,288.61. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 3.19 points, or 0.14 percent, at 2,313.54.
