Tripura CM calls for more decentralisation of power

Agartala, Apr 12 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today called for more decentralisation of power to ensure more benefits to the people at the grassroot level and all round developmnt of the state.

Inaugurating a new sub-divisional headquarters at Shantirbazar in South Tripura district today, Mr Sarkar emphasized the need for closer co-operation between the people and the administration and said better inateraction between the public and the administration would ensure faster growth.

He said the newly created Shantirbazar sub-division would be a model sub-division.

Earlier, he inaugurated another subdivisional headquarters at Teliamura in West Tripura district yesterday.

With Shantirbazar and Teliamura, the state will now have 17 sub-divisions.
