Sugar prices rises on heavy demand

Navi Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) Sugar prices rose on heavy buying support today, traders in the sugar market said.

The rates of small and medium grades shot up by Rs 70 each per quintal on heavy demand.

The rates of ex-mill small and medium grades hiked by Rs 50 each, per quintal, on reduced stock supply.

Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,940/1,980, medium grade Rs 1,980/2,030.

Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,915/1,940 and medium grade Rs 1,955/1,970.
