SIFCC cancels film shooting
Chennai, Apr 12 (UNI) The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce today (SIFCC) announced cancellation of all film shooting in the state tomorrow as a mark of respect to Kannada matinee idol Dr Rajkumar, who died in Bangalore.
Immediately on receiving the news, SIFCC, the apex body of the South Indian film industry, convened an emergency meeting of the office bearers and mourned the death of the legend of the Kannada film industry.
The meeting also decided to cancel all film shootings in the state as a mark of respect, Mr K C N Chandrashekar, Chamber President said in a press release here.
Dr Rajkumar, the towering personality of the Kannada screen, made the most noteworthy contribution to the growth of Kannada film industry for more than 50 years, the meeting noted.
