Separate state key to development:Meeting

Vijayawada, Apr 12 (UNI) BJP national general secretary K Haribabu today said that even though the party favoured creation of smaller states, it wants development of existing states as well.

Particiating in a round table meeting on small states Andhra Region Development organised by the city unit of the party, he said natural resources like water, gas and minerals were available in the Andhra coast.

He said these resources could be fully utilised for the development of the region only after formation of separate Andhra state.

The BJP leader the party would organise similar meetings in all the coastal districts of the state to educate the people seek their opinion for overall development.

Noted lawyer and former Bezwada Bar Association president K Ramamohana Rao criticised the governments which ruled the state for neglecting Andhra Pradesh in all sectors.

Several speakers, who spoke on the occasion were in favour of separate Andhra.
