Rajesh Exports secures Rs 178 crore export order
Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) Rajesh Exports Ltd has bagged an export order worth Rs 178 crore of designer jewellery from Sharjah-based Excel Goldsmiths, the company today said in a release to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
This order was placed by Excel Goldsmiths after the company had successfully completed its earlier order of Rs 146 crore by March 31 this year.
The order, to be completed by July 31, will be executed at the company's manufacturing facility at Bangalore, which is the world's largest jewellery manufacturing facility spread over 12 acres of land with a built-up area of 5,00,000 sq ft. The manufacturing facility has an installed capacity to process 250 tonnes of jewellery per annum.
Rajesh Exports Executive Chairman Rajesh Mehta said, ''The international markets have been exhibiting robust demand for Indian designer jewellery. We have one of the best designing teams in the country and they are abreast of the trends in the international markets.'' ''This order gains significance as it is for the supply of designer jewellery, which provides better bottom line margins for the company,'' he informed.
''The company has in the last financial quarter developed 1500 more exclusive designs and placed the same in the international markets,'' he said.
''The exclusive designs would also be introduced in the recently acquired branded retail jewellery network of Oyzterbay. The company is expecting good response from the retail buyers for this range,'' he added.
