Bangalore, Apr 12 (UNI) Panalpina World Transport has tied up with Logiqiz Logistics to launch a logistics centre in the city.

Company Regional CEO Robert Timmerman told newspersons here that the company would launch more centres across the country and had planned an investment of around three to five million Dollars. The centres would come up in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai over the next two years, he added.

The centre here was spread over a 40,000 sqft area and cutting edge technology had been provided for material handling and pallet racking, besides docking bays able to handle 20 ft and 40 ft trailers.

Mr Timmerman said significant investment in the country was a continuing reiteration of the company's long-term commitment to bring in world class practices and technologies in logistics.

The new facility would benefit time sensitive industries to organise their supply chain.
