NESO rejects anti-conversion bill
Kohima, Apr 12 (UNI) The North East Students' Organization (NESO) today strongly opposed the Anti-conversion Bill, passed by the Rajasthan government on April 7.
In a statement here, NESO Chairman Dr Samujjal Bhattacharya and General Secretary S N Lotha said the bill was 'riddled with ill-motive' to harass the Christian minority of the country.
''We have called upon the Chief Ministers of all the North Eastern states to collectively oppose the bill so that religious discrimination could be avoided,'' Mr Bhattachaya said.
The NESO said the Bill would harass the Christian minority.
