Maoists call poll boycott in Bengal
Nadia, Apr 12 (UNI) The CPI(Maoist) has put up posters in several areas of this district demading election boycott in West Bengal.
The posters have been pasted on walls in the areas of Bhimpur, Asannagar and Krishnagar, main town of the district, where the Maoist rebels have considerable followers.
The posters which urged the people to boycott polls across the state, created panic among the local people.
The district administration also geared up against the move and asked the law enforcing agencies to immediately remove those.
Recently many districts of north Bengal also had such posters, official sources said.
