Karzai visits Osmania University

Hyderabad, Apr 12 (UNI) Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai today said the situation in his war-ravaged country was better now and it was employing experts from across the world to fill the gap of skilled manpower.

Mr Karazai, while interacting with the students of Osmania University here, said Afghanistan was working together with Italy and France for strengthening its judicial institutions and various other countries for improving infrastructure and education.

The Afghan president said his country will play a crucial role as a bridge between South Asia with Central and West Asia.

''Efforts are on to make good use of the strategic location of Afghanistan. It can connect South Asia with Central Asia and West Asia very easily,'' he said.

''We are following free market economy,'' Mr Karzai added.

He also talked about his student days in Shimla in 1976 from where he completed his post graduation.

Mr Karzai also signed autographs for the students and agreed for a group photo.
