INTACH awards for heritage buildings

Hyderabad, Apr 12 (UNI) The XI Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) awards will be given for six well preserved heritage buildings, lakes, gardens and precincts on April 19, its Co-Convenor Sushil Kumar said today.

Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Kumar said the awards would be presented by Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur.

Short listing for the awards was done by a screening committee and the final selections were made by a panel of judges.

He said the 'INTACH Heritage Annual - 2006,' an informative document on some facets of life in Hyderabad would also be released on the occasion.
