Honeywell to expand in Bangalore

Bangalore, Apr 12 (UNI) Honeywell will double its headcount at its Research and Development CEntre here, Company Senior Vice President Larry Kittelberger has indicated.

Mr Kittelberger who met Karnataka Chief Minsiter H D Kumaraswamy yesterday said that the company was planning to expand in a big way and the Centre here was crucial for its worldwide operations.

Honeywell ws the third largest company in Bangalore in terms of size and operations.

Mr Kumaraswamy urged the Company to look to tier two cities and pointed out Belgaum where he had recently opened an IT Park. The Chief Minister assured that Belgaum would ahve world class infrastructure and efforts were already on to upgrade the Airport there.

Mr. Kittelberger assured the Chief Minister that his company would consider his suggestion according to a release from the Chief Minister's Press secretariat.
