Govt to search for alternative plot for tenants in transit camps
Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said the government would look for an alternative plot to accomodate the tenants living in transit camps.
Replying to a question by leader of the Opposition Pandurang Phundkar and others Mr Deshmukh said, ''The government had decided to start one window clearance system from June one last year to tackle the problems of increasing number of tenants living in the transit camps.'' Replying to another question by Sanjay Dutt (Congress), Minister of state for Urban Development Rajesh Tope said the government had submitted seven proposals including the infrastructural and sewerage development projects to the Centre.
An officer had also been appointed for this project and Union Minister of State for PMO Prithviraj Chavan was coordinating on this issue, he added.
