Fire destroys train's passenger coach

Durg, Chhattisgarh, Apr 12 (UNI) A fire today destroyed a stationary train's passenger coach at Durg railway station here, a railway spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said smoke was observed coming out of the coach in the afternoon. In a matter of time, the bogey was engulfed in fire.

Fire brigade from Bhilai Steel Plant was pressed into service.

The reason behind the fire was yet to be ascertained. No loss of life or property was reported.

Divisional Rail Manager C P Tayal has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
