CID inquiry ordered in cinestar Sanjay Khan'wife
Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) A CID inquiry would be conducted into the incident of acquiring the flats under Slum Redevelopment Authority by some bigwigs including the wife of actor Sanjay Khan- Ms Zarin Khan, owner of top security Rahul Nanda's wife Sunita Nanda and others.
This was announced today by Maharashtra Minister of state for Housing Dayanand Maske while replying to a calling attention notice by BJP's Madhu Chavan.
Mr Chavan in his notice had said that in 1994 Zarin Khan, Sunita Nanda, Diwan Nanda, Ranita Nanda and captain Sasaria filed purchase affidavits for purchasing a hut at Garib Mazdoor Sangh, Juhu, in North West Mumbai and received flats from the government under SRA.
He said before alotting such flats of 225 sq ft to beneficiaries, the evidences that they are the resident of the slum was checked through the voters card.
Mr Maske admitted that the benefits of SRA scheme were misused and added that the government would conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter.
He also said the flats allotted under SRA cannot be sold for ten years and added that the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority would take back the allotted flats in their possession.
