Aviation refueling station at Karippur by Sepember
Kozhikode, Apr 12 (UNI) Public sector oil major Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) will open its aviation refueling station at Karippur International Airport by September 2006, a senior official said.
Talking to newspersons after laying the foundation for the Rs two crore project with a 400 kilo-litre capacity, BPCL Aviation Business Head S P Mathur yesterday said the facility would provide hassle-free service to incoming and outgoing flights.
The decision to set up such a station was taken while considering the possible introduction of more flights from the airport in the wake of it attaining international status. This would be the third refilling station in the state, the others being at Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, taking the total number to 21 in the country, he added.
BPCL Director Marketing S Radhakrishan and other senior officials were present.
