Arrest warrant against film actor Tapas Pal stayed

Kolkata, Apr 12 (UNI) Calcutta High Court today further stayed an arrest warrant by a lower court about three months ago against Bengali film actor Tapas Pal.

Chandernagar court in Hooghly district had issued the arrest warrant against the filmstar after his mother Mira Pal sued his son alleging that he was trying to grab an ancestral property in Chandernagar town and not allowing other members of the family to enter the house.

Mr Pal got a stay from Calcutta High Court after he challenged the suit.

Justice S P Talukdar today further stayed the warrant which expires this week for another two months.
