SUCI's assembly candidate arrested in Bengal

Krishnagar, Apr 11 (UNI) SUCI candidate for Haringhata assembly constituency in West Bengal's Nadia district Gora Chand Mondol was today arrested for alleged violation of election codes, police said.

Official sources said Mr Mondol was arrested from his Bigol village residence this morning for alleged postering in the walls, which invited violation of model code of conduct.

The arrest was made following instruction from the election department.

He, however, was released on bail by a local court later today.
